I think that this song is about Amy losing someone really close to her and she is really hurt. I think that she is talking as two different people herself, and the person who hurt her. Many people think that it is the opposite but that is what I think. The word Lacrymosa meens 'weeping' in Latin, so this song is probably about brreaking up with someone; even though it is hard, it is for the best.

Then she moves on and is better. I find the lyrics slightly sarcastic in a way.. But maybe that's just me. I think Amy is singing about someone she loved more then anything in the world but then that person hurt her so much that it now hurts to love this person. This is one of my favourit songs and my favorit pice of music she is so talented!!!

He's gone, and she's sad and feeling alone, but she knows she can't get it back, even though she would like to. It's kind of a common sense take on a breakup. When we tried to be right for each other, it was all a lie. Let's try to make this as painless as possible. I want to move on, and I want you to move on too. If you have to blame this whole thing on me to do so, okay.

Alright, well, I've heard what Amy has had to say about Lacrymosa. She loves Mozart's Requiem, especially a part named Lacrimosa, which is her favorite piece of music. So, she did a re-make of the part in the Requiem. Those lyrics in English are: Tearful that day, on which will rise from ashes guilty man for judgment. Different but still Evanescence. Alex B. The problem may be particular to Mozart's requiem. Step one : in Mozart's 'Lacrimosa' the 'i' is sung on two notes. Step two : In the musical score the word might therefore written under the notes as 'la- cri- i -mo -sa' Step three : a printer, seeing 'lacriimosa,' would set it as 'lacrijmosa' or 'lacrymosa' with two dots, or plain 'lacrymosa.
